PGCon - PostgreSQL Conference for Users and Developers

Join us for the 10th PGCon!

PGCon is an annual conference for users and developers of PostgreSQL, a leading relational database, which just happens to be open source. PGCon is the place to meet, discuss, build relationships, learn valuable insights, and generally chat about the work you are doing with PostgreSQL. If you want to learn why so many people are moving to PostgreSQL, PGCon will be the place to find out why. Whether you are a casual user or you've been working with PostgreSQL for years, PGCon will have something for you.

When?

Get it on Google PlayGet the schedule app for Android here.

  • Tutorials: 17-18 May 2016 (Tue & Wed)
  • Unconference: 18 & 21 May 2016
    • Wednesday is a developer unconference.
    • Saturday is a user unconference.
    • Everyone is welcome to both sessions, but you must register please.
  • Talks: 19-20 May 2016 (Thu-Fri)

In its fourth year, the un-conference is evolving from 1.5 days to two days. This year the unconference is split into two parts: developer & user. Starting on Wednesday morning, the unconference will cater to developer-related issues. On Saturday morning, the unconference continues, with an emphasis on user-related issues. In both cases, the content of the unconference will be determined, on the day, by the attendees. In past years, we saw heavy attendance by both developers and users of PostgreSQL.

Location

  • University of Ottawa, in the DMS (Desmarais) building.
  • See map for location

HEADS UP: new visa conditions

There are new visa requirements in place. Please read about Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) on our travel page.

Social

There will be related events (of a social nature, for the most part) on the day before and after the conference.
