A journey from Postgres enthusiast to committer
This talk will cover my journey to Postgres committer. I will talk about what led me to start working with the Postgres community and how my work and commitment has improved over time.
This talk will also cover - How new people can start contributing and what all they need to be aware of? - The key things one should take care while writing patches. - The review process for patches and how different level of contributors can contribute to this process. What is commitfest and how it works? - Why sometimes the feedback process takes longer time? I will present a few case studies from my own experience where the patch took a long time to get committed.
This talk will be useful to both people who are trying to join the community and who are trying to become better Postgres hackers.
