Bacula
Everything you need to know about backups
Bacula is a set of programs for backup and, more importantly, restore of your data.
I was so very close to deploying another backup solution which you have probably heard of. Someone showed me Bacula. What appealed to me immediately was their use of a database to keep track of everything that has been backed up, when, and where is that backup now.
There was only one problem; it didn't use PostgreSQL.
So I wrote a new backend for them.
That was about 10 years ago. I'm still using Bacula and I still advocate it to others.
Come along if you'd like to learn more about Bacula or would like to share your experiences with Bacula.
