Jonathan S. Katz

Jonathan S. Katz is CTO of VenueBook (http://venuebook.com) and one of the co-organizers of the New York City PostgreSQL User Group (http://www.nycpug.org) including the annual PGDay NYC conference. His primary focus has been building data-driven web applications from all parts of the software-cycle, though he tends to work on architecting and implementing the data-related features in addition to managing the databases and providing analytical information.

Jonathan is active in PostgreSQL advocacy efforts, and gives talks around the world on interesting PostgreSQL features and how app developers using Python or Ruby can conveniently leverage PostgreSQL-specific features. Jonathan graduated from Tufts University with a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Mathematics.
