Noah Misch

Noah is a PostgreSQL developer and committer. He made PostgreSQL his go-to database upon realizing that its documentation did not make statements like, "you may declare a CHECK constraint, but the database system will not enforce it."

Noah's chief PostgreSQL development interests include bug fixes, security vulnerabilities, portability, and patch review. He started with PostgreSQL development by tracking the down the root cause of spurious recovery conflicts affecting one of his customers, an early adopter of hot standby.

Beyond PostgreSQL, Noah is a committer for the GNU Autoconf and GNU Libtool projects, and he made a series of contributions to the Linux kernel. He pursues interests in astronomy and the United States Internal Revenue Code. Noah is an employee of EnterpriseDB.
